Muscle is like scaffolding for your body.  Without muscle, your bones and joints are more vulnerable to aging, decline and injury.

What to expect

We start with an initial assessment call to discuss your interests, goals and any health issues or other concerns.

Each session includes a warm up, resistance activities tailored to your interests and abilities, and concludes with a stretch and cool down.

If I am supplying equipment, your workout may include resistance bands, mini-loops, dumbbells, kettle bells and good old-fashioned body weight exercises.

This is a lifestyle change.  You need to bring an open mind and a willingness to change

Change takes time.  Single sessions allow you to try this with minimum obligation. 

 

Recommended 1-2 sessions/week.  Multi-session packages include complimentary monthly check-in and goals review.

Why core and balance training?

A strong core is your secret to staying healthy and injury free - which helps you to thrive!

A strong core assists with balance and improves overall stability. (1)

A strong core helps protect your spine when you rotate and twist and helps stabilize your lower back. (1)

Core exercises improve your movement control and help you to maintain your independence.  They improve movement control and posture reaction. (1)

What to expect

We start with an initial assessment call to discuss your interests, goals and any balance challenges you are currently experiencing.

Each session includes a warm up, a period of core-specific exercises  and balance work.

Balance challenges can be done seated, standing or while moving, depending on your capabilities.

Equipment may include resistance bands, stability balls, BOSU balance trainers and uneven surfaces.  I can supply all equipment or use what you have access to.

SYMMETRY POSTURAL ALIGNMENT TRAINING

Do you have chronic knee / hip / back / neck pain?  Do you experience temporary relief from chiropractors or physical therapists but they are unable to tell you how to permanently fix the issue?  Can you look in the mirror and see one shoulder or hip higher than the other?

Many of us develop postural misalignments which our bodies then try to compensate around.  This can result in movement that reinforces the misalignment, creating a vicious circle that results in pain.

What is Symmetry postural alignment?

Symmetry postural alignment is a measurement-based approach to addressing postural imbalances.

  • 20 different skeletal measurements are taken each session and used to calculate an overall alignment score.

  • Based on your measurements, proprietary AlignSmart software creates a customized corrective exercise program.

  • Measurements are repeated each session and charted so you can see your progress. 

  • Symmetry is non-surgical and non-invasive.

You are an active participant in your own healing process and will learn to maintain your improvements.

What to expect
  • Each session starts with measurements and an individualized corrective exercise program is generated for you on the spot.

  • During the session, you are guided through the routine to develop your confidence.

  • You receive access to a mobile app containing your routine(s) so you can repeat on your own.  The mobile app includes a video and written description of each exercise.

  • Corrective exercise routines take minimal equipment (included with your initial session), take about 20 minutes and should be done 2 times/day.
  • Checking in with the mobile app tracks your compliance, helping you to hold yourself accountable.

Cost & Commitment

Program:  Symmetry is only available as a program.  There are 2 options consisting of different quantities of sessions but sessions cannot be purchased individually.

Sessions:  Sessions are 60 minutes.  Each session includes measurements, review of your progress, creation of a customized exercise program and hands-on guidance through the routine.

Your time:  You also must be prepared to put in the work in order to see results.  The routine should be done at least once daily and recommended twice a day.​  The programs take about 20 minutes - equivalent to a coffee break!

Initial assessment/measurement (no obligation):  $250.  If you decide to continue, this includes all equipment, a $125 value.

2-month program:  $925 (includes initial assessment), 6 sessions, corrective only.  Corrects your skeletal misalignments and rebalances your frame.

5-month program:  $1,250 (includes initial assessment), 10 sessions consisting of 6 corrective routines and 4 routines to strengthen and reinforce the changes made during the corrective portion.

Consider what you are currently paying for you chiropractor or physical therapist.  This program gives you daily treatments and allows you to take charge of your own progress.
